The smart switch can even adjust automatically to changing sunset and sunrise times, set a time limit to turn off the light or secure your home when you're away.Īway Mode lets the HS200 turn your devices off and on randomly to Use the HS200 to automate connected fixtures based on your daily schedule and preferences. Until then. The HS200 lets you control anything a standard light switch controls-all from your phone. Fix these things and my review will be a boasting 5 stars and I will definitely buy more. You have to find it on an unmarked sliding bar. The workaround would be to create multiple set points on a schedule on my own to have it increase a few percentages every couple of minutes, but that takes me back to issue #1. I don’t want my bulb quickly changing from 20% to 80% in the blink of an eye rather a slow transition from the previous set time. Include a gradual dimming transition option. What’s the point of imitating a sunrise if I can simply open my blinds? Maybe if my bedroom was in the basement it would be nice. Right now if I select the circadian function, it will begin getting brighter at 6:45am, but my alarm is set for 6am. I want to utilize my smart bulb to imitate a sunrise earlier than the sun actually rises, in order to wake up more peacefully.

The ability to offset the sunrise function (circadian). It’s crazy, but you have to choose a position on a slider and then hit save to see if you got the percentage you were looking to select.

The ability to choose a specific light/dimming percentage (with the smart bulb). BUT, a few, necessary things are missing.
TP LINK SMART SWITCH HOW TO
I have a neighbor that cant figure out how to turn off her outside lights and this would be great for her, but I still think the idea of this light is pretty cool. I have used it here and there and think it’s a great idea. I also own one of their light bulbs, but havent found a great use for it yet. I have now bought more of these smart plugins and use them to turn off other tvs and xboxs on power strips when my kids arent listening and have a lamp in the living room I have set on a schedule to turn on before I get to the ground floor so I dont trip on anything on the floor the kids may have left in the middle of the night when they should have been sleeping. I also have a strip for my xbox, tv, and headset charger.

It saves electricity instead of having the strip plugged in all the time. This power strip only charges my phone, watch and iPad most nights, but I have also had my xbox controllers charger and sometimes other things connected to the strip.

I started with the little 2 pack starter kit and used this with my power strip to turn it on at night and off in the morning when I am not here. I definitely recommend these products to use with Alexis. Guess what! It worked! It was nice to be able to have my outside string lights or whatever I had plugged in come on with my command.Īlso I had surgery and it was nice to be able to turn on and off lights without having to climb out of bed or get off the chair or have someone do for me. Now my porch has GFI plugs with covers, so I put one of kasa plugs in it to see when I add string lights/ Christmas lights etc. Being able to change percentage is a nice feature! That’s a great feature bc sometimes you just don’t want a bright light on. Example is if I have light on at 100% and I just want to relax, I can command to have it at 35-25% or however dim I want. Also I can also them them to turn down to a percentage and they do it. Why I highly recommend these items from Kasa: I enjoy the being able to just say a command and my lights to turn on. In the evening it nice to add a little color to the room and it makes the room more relaxing. I even purchased a colored bulb to see how it would do. I have both of these in my home to use with Alexis.
